Cristian Lascu, unul din cei mai buni fotografi de pesteri din lume (in 1990 a fost desemnat cel mai bun fotograf-speolog, in California, SUA) s-a nascut in 1948, la Bucuresti. Din 2003 este redactor-sef al revistei National Geografic.
